VERUS "Multiform" Artchitecture

Conceptual background
Verus stands for Variable Element Readjusting(Reconfigurable) Unitary Structure. Concept design aims through the careful redesign of  platform to make certain regions of vehicle structurally or spatially re-configurable ( 'multi-form'(M)). The advantages of a structurally adjustable platform, or 'multiform', are immediately obvious:
1- Versatility - individual preferences and requirements of end users are easily catered for
2- Economy - Any unnecessary parts on the vehicle are 'dialed out' and not carried around as excessive dead-weight, and later  can be called back into service when required again.

FcBEV -  'Flexible c ('cell construct & chemisty') Battery for EV

Prototype Design- FcBEV

While VERUS APEX aims to create an easily reconfigurable  so-called 'multiform' car using spatially variable elements in part of the car structure, FcBEV underlies the basic functionality of the VERUS concept.

The FcBEV battery design is a proprietary one based upon a flexible battery cell (patent pending)  which enables enhanced functionality improvements compared to other existing technology. As applied on VERUS design,  the concept improves on a) manoeuvrability b) on- and off-loading efficiency and c) at enhanced potential,  multi-chemistry functionality over standard Battery design for LCV or EV application.

Basic design attributes
Standard EV batteries and chemistries are used, however by a suitable adaptation of 'physical design'  - the FcBEV elementary 'unit-cell' design, and subsequent assembly of these cell units - this design lends itself to using the batteries effectively 'in all forms' i.e. in Solid state (Lead Acid, Lithium varieties)  to potentially Hybrid flow fluid (Zinc-air), and in the one and same assembly. Inter-conversion between various chemistry is effected by interchanging  standardised components as applicable for given battery chemistries, while the rest of the battery structure remains in place.

The 'physical design' mentioned adopts a proprietary modification on a simple geometrical shape that -compared to other conventional battery cell packaging- ensures a fuller spatial flexibility at cell-unit level, which ultimately improves entire battery system flexibility. In final implementation (APEX VERUS), the entire battery package can be 'wrapped' around and ultimately over the hosting vehicle body structure.

Potential 'Universal' Applicability
It is envisaged the same improvements can be easily extended to other conventional vehicle designs. The battery packaging further addresses inherent EV disadvantages like low power-to-weight and 'retroprogressive range retardation'  by active management of  battery loads and placement on the 'vehicle on vehicle , and as well forms in effect a passive secondary safety shield element on the vehicle, among main attributes. Work and testing is in progress to refine this basic design further.
