Uniquely Independent and thoroughly effective, the rap/gospel duo of ,stage names, - Van Grand Nester 'City Stepper' and
Atomico K.D.K (pictured) a.k.a Group Voice A.earned their very own peer respect for providing a deftly alternative-to-mainstream
but wholly convincing interpretation of new style Ugandan Dancehall, raggae and proto-savsoul music. Their Traxbox co-produced
music exhibits their verstile range; gospel inspired works (Lonely, Yesu kumusalaba, Voice of the Children) alongside hot
swahili dance number 'Osiniwakye hapa' and seriously cool ballads and dance numbers, all often characterised by poignant
messages and lyrics at the same time.
Atomico has gone on to be a highly respected music producer and engineer in Notterdam Holland apart from other achievements,
while Van Nester continues successfully with commercial business enterprise in Uganda and abroad.

Atomico and Van G. Nester first came on board Traxbox in 1994-1996 as Voice A, and immediately contributed significantly
to TRAXBOX, EXREAL and DA HOMMIES collaborations with their keen talents and perception, on a regular basis both in live
performances and in studio sessions; contributions that we are only so proud to recognise here.
Key collaborations include contemporaries young artists notably DA HOMIES, Emperor Orlando and many other outfits. Many more
of the duo's songs are also available as co-features on colleagues' works
Multi-award winning artist Iryn introduced
early the local audience to world-class talent right in their midst , and in due time has become and remains in the top class
of performing artists, with a massive fan base in East Africa alone.Iryn. From amazing vocals to amazing song writing skills, Iryn
has consistently topped the local (Ugandan) pop charts and continues to do so, BUT -take our word as people who worked
with her first hand long before many, this is only the tip of her potential; envisage a world-class diva in the making,
with songs like 'Got to learn', 'It's so hard' (exclusively done at Traxbox but not yet released) attesting to this. A full
biography awaits.

Lady Iryn first came on board in 1994-1996 working with notably DA HOMMIES, being subsequently a much soughT- after vocalist
and perfomer in several outfits, supportinbg each other in performances , shows and indeed in studio recording in Uganda.
Iryn's work includes Solo tracks and albums (rtists social websites) and are included s features on colleagues' works.
In the same vein as fellow Da HOMMIES founder members RAGGA Dee, DJ Messe, Joss JJew, Lady IRYN is now an international
award-winning solo music star, and a national public figure, to name a few. The Traxbox was there when it all started, providing
definitve sound engineering and production for the musicians. The albums currently available on our label include original
tracks* by solo artist or in the group, plus newer solo items.
Stage name "Joss Jjew", a.k.a "Sequencer", J. S.Mawejje plays synth keyboardist and studio recording engineer/musician. Worked
since late 1980's with various local Ugandan music groups, bands and choirs in Kampala, notably the Good News Choir, St. Augustine
Makerere, Badindaz Band (of the late Tony Sengo) Impact International of Alex Mukulu, as well as own groups Exreal and Easy
Reputation, both in live performance as well as session studio work. Joseph started the Traxbox studio in the 1990's with
the Da Hommies and other crews; the nickname 'sequencer' arose out of his non-stop whining at the time for a dedicated MIDI
seqeuncer to program music with: with only 2-track recording decks available, live playing and real time punch-in using a
helpful but limited Yamaha PSS780's memory buttons was the only solution then, and so many recordings were irredeemably ruined
by one mis-punch too easy this way.

In 1992 recorded first songs on a group album (Easy Reputation, vol 1) but first significant works came in 1994-1996 working
with groups of young artists notably DA HOMIES, Emperor Orlando and many other outfits, mainly as instrumentalist/arranger
and also facilitating studio recording in Uganda. Work on the Ugandan scene experienced a break due to having to move twice
to Norway (1998, 1999- 2001), and again to the UK (2004) where now resident. KAKE (2002-2004) is the first completely solo
album, which is currently available together with three more. Many more songs are also available as co-features on coleagues

(update in progress!) prolifically talented DJs Ragga Dee and Mc Molar Messe (stage names), joined to create the group DA
HOMMIES in Kampala , active form about 1994. Without doubt the DJs (with fellow mates such as Shanks V, Rasta Rob MC, late
Menton Summer, all at leading Clubs AngeNoir, Silk and Sabrina's in Kampala) are the original trendsetters of new style R&B-cum-Hip-hop
flavoured Ugandan Dancehall, a genre-fusion of Ragga,R&B and Hip-Hop. With the signal diva vocal performances of Iryn, Sister
and other young female singers, and spot-on instrumentations by 'sequencer' Joss Jjew, the original Albums Mukwano, Bamusakata
proved massive hits with all types of Ugandan music lovers and especially 90's clubbers. In addition to inspiring a new brand
of younger local musicians following their style, up to the prersent day.
Such is the talent of "the Original" Mr. Ragga Dee that even later solo albums have consistently produced local number one
hits, and the artist himself remains one of the leading stars on the local music scene and beyond: in the same vien as fellow
Da HOMMIES founder members Iryn now an international solo star, Ragga Dee a de facto international and national music figure,
to name a few.
The Traxbox was there when it all started, providing critical sound engineering and production for the musicians. The albums
currently available on our label include original tracks* by the group, plus newer solo items.
